A real gem from 1970, this children's comedy series about a mischievious gang and their improbable adventures became a popular repeat item during summer holidays for years afterwards. I was surprised to learn that it was American funded, as it seems very British in its humour. 'Carry On' for kids. Guest stars included Liz Fraser, Bob Todd, Frank Thornton, Sam Kydd, Julian Orchard, and a young Jane Seymour. Melvyn Hayes was the only regular adult character, he played 'Albert' the roadsweeper. Its a cliche but yes, they really don't make them like this any more.
